What makes Victoria, British Columbia so special?
Victoria is one of the world’s favorite year-round tourist destinations for a good reason. Victoria can be described as a city with old world charm and an ocean view. It has something to offer everyone from fields of wild flowers, to forests, colorful fall foliage, white sand beaches, the wild beauty of the pacific coast, outdoor adventures, incredible wildlife, brightly painted bohemian shops, coffee bars and innovative restaurants. If you have time we recommend searching for the resident pods of Orcas or walking the charismatic inner harbour and picking up a sweet treat at Rogers Chocolates, Bon Macaron Patisserie or an ice cream from Chocolats Favoris .

I have extra time to travel. Where should I go?
KELOWNA (Okanagan Valley) is 480km and roughly 6.5 hours away. The Okanagan has award winning wineries, sparkling lakes, sandy beaches, championship golf courses and an endless array of outdoor activities.
WHISTLER is 244km and roughly 4.5 hours away from Victoria. We recommend reserving your spot on the ferry in advance. Whistler is arguably the planet’s top all-season resort. In the spring and summer, the pedestrian village is alive with hikers, mountain bikers, golfers and people watchers. In the fall and winter, Whistler is a snowsport lover’s paradise. Access from Vancouver is the Sea-to-Sky HWY, which follows a lovely coastline for much of its length.
VANCOUVER is 115km and roughly 3.5 hours away when taking the stylish VtoV ferry. The ferry departs from Victoria’s harbour and takes you on a scenic cruise through BC’s beautiful Inside Passage. You can also opt to take a 30 minute scenic flight with Harbour Air*. Vancouver is described as an urban playground in the heart of nature. Stroll along the seawall in Vancouver’s spectacular Stanley Park, shop on Robson, or explore historic Gastown. You will catch a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean or the rainforest-covered Coast Mountains from almost anywhere in the city. It almost feels as if you can reach out and touch them! The list of activities that Vancouver has to offer seems endless and is worth researching.
PACIFIC RIM NATIONAL PARK is 200km and roughly a 3.5 hour drive away. The majestic park on the West Coast of Vancouver Island consists of multiple sections. There’s famous Long Beach, Tofino – home to flawless beaches and a thriving surf culture, The West Coast Trail – an epic multi-day hike along what was once a rescue trail for shipwrecked sailors, and the broken group of islands- a kayakers paradise made up of more than 100 islands and islets. You will find families, thrill seekers and everyone in between enjoying the beach, Tacofino (a must!) and magnificent hiking through the old growth rainforest.
